Section 1 OBITUARIES RIES Dale Maples Dale Maples, 40, of Cary, McHenry county, died yesterday of a heart attack while being taken to a hospital. Mr. Maples, a pioneer in the field of artificial breeding of beef cattle, was a special representative of the Curtiss. about Breeding 10 years. Service He was in a past president of the Missouri Jersey Cattle club and a former director of the American Jersey Cattle club.

Surviving are his widow, Rosalie; four sons, Michael, Thomas, Gary and Tracy; and a sister. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel at 500 W. Terra Cotta Crystal Lake, McHenry county. Mrs.

Esther M. Palmer Mrs. Esther M. Palmer, 77, of 509 Watson Ingleside, died yesterday in St. Therese hospital, Waukegan.

She was a member of Adelphi chapter No. 820 of the Order of Eastern Star and was active in Lake county Republican work. Surviving are two daughters, Eva, who is chief deputy registrar in the voters registration office of the Lake county clerk, and thy Salzgeber; a four great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. Services will be held at 1 p. m.

Monday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church, Long Lake. Martin L. Wiederhold Martin L. Wiederhold, 92, of 25 Third Park Ridge, former Park Ridge building commissioner and a volunteer fireman there for 46 years, died yesterday in Lutheran General hospital, Park Ridge. Mr.

Wiederhold served as alderman of Park Ridge's 3d ward in 1917 and was the owner of Wiederhold Lumber and Manufacturing company, which was destroyed by fire in 1923. Surviving are his widow, Mathilda and a daughter, Irene E. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday in the chapel at 625 Busse Park Ridge.

Mrs. Catherine Thill Services for Mrs. Catherine Thill, 84, of 4 S. Edwards Mount Prospect, will be held at 1:30 p. m.

Monday in the chapel at Lee and Perry streets, Des Plaines. Mrs. Thill, who died Thursday in Evanston hospital, was the widow of Peter, owner of Thill's restaurant in Mount Prospect for many years before his death in 1941. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George E.

Whittenberg, wife of the chief of police in Mount Prospect; a son, John; three grandchildren, and a sister. Donald M. Wallace Donald M. Wallace, 34, of 210 Cadey Carpentersville, vice president and part of Daw Industries at 3148 N. Laramie died yesterday in Sherman hospital, Elgin.

Surviving are his widow, Elaine; two sons, Donald and Steven; a daughter, Kathryn; his parents, and Mrs. Earl Wallace; his grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Brandenburg; two brothers; and a sister. Services will be held at 2 p. m.

Wolfram st. Father Ziemba, who was a member of the order of the Congregation tion, died Thursday in St. Mary of Nazareth hospital. He had been chaplain at the home since 1954. Prior to that he was pastor of St.

Mary Tupper Jones, 86, a retired actress who used the stage name of Mary Tupper as well as her full name, who played leading parts in stock and appeared on Broadway in numerous plays, including "Caesar and Cleopatra" with Helen Hayes in 1925; in Poughkeepsie, N. Y. Redmond 0'Hanlon, 48, New York City policeman who gained national attention in 1955 by winning $16,000 as a Shakespearean expert on the quiz program; in New York after an operation for stomach ulcers. Harry A. McDonald, 70, former chairman of the securities and exchange commission and the last administrator of the Reconstruction Finance corporation, in Washington; while being taken to a hospital for treatment of an ulcer.

Prof. Thomas Pomfret Kliner, 73, internationally known British pioneer in plastic surgery, who performed thousands of operations all over the world; in Oxford, England. Alice Borland Wilson Mrs. Alice Borland Wilson, 93, of 9101 Crawford Evergreen Park, formerly of 10034 Hoyne died yesterday in her home. Mrs. Wilson, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, was the widow of Benjamin S. Wilson, a 33d degree Mason.

At one time he headed the L. P. Rowe Architect company in Chicago. Surviving are his widow, Blanche; a daughter, Mrs. Betty McEwen; two sisters; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Irene C. Laechle Services for Mrs. Irene C. Laechle, 76, of 65 N. Columbine Lombard, a retired Chicago school teacher, will be held at 1 p.

m. Monday in the chapel at 135 S. Main Lombard. Mrs. Laechle died Wednesday in a home for the aged.

She formerly lived at 1424 Hollywood Chicago, and had taught almost 40 years in Chicago schools, including Bell and Spaulding. She is survived by a niece. Mrs. Philip Horwich Mrs. Beatrice Horwich, 68, of 5000 East End died yesterday in her home.

Mrs. Horwich was the wife of Philip Horwich, vice president of General Felt Industries, 2301 S. Paulina st. Also surviving are a son, Franklin a daughter, Mrs. Loretta J.
